What Basis receives
Your wallet address, when you connect a wallet and use a feature that reads your holdings, positions, orders or history. Addresses and on-chain activity are public.
The country your request comes from, read from the hosting provider's request headers, to apply location rules, and your IP address, to limit how often some routes can be asked. Basis's code holds them in memory for the request or a short rate-limit window and does not write either to its own storage, except the country recorded for a Stock Token trade as described below.
Vercel hosts the website and Fly.io hosts its data service. Each receives data for requests routed to it and may keep access or error logs under its own terms. Those logs may include IP, wallet or token addresses from requests and errors. Basis has not confirmed how long they are kept.
Signed messages you choose to sign: a referral, an invite, a referral handle, or an acknowledgement of terms.
What Basis stores
On Basis's servers, against a wallet address: referral records, invite admissions and claimed referral handles; delegated trading authorisations, the orders they cover and the trades made under them, if you use them; and, if you link Telegram, your Telegram chat and the alerts you set.
For the Genesis waitlist, Basis stores your wallet, referral activity and points. If you add a profile, it stores your chosen name, picture and optional X handle. You can hide your profile from the leaderboard without losing your place or points.
When Stock Token trading is on, and only then: for each Stock Token trade Basis prepares, an eligibility record of the wallet, the country and region the request came from, the Stock Tokens involved, the decision and the checks behind it. Never an IP address or a name. Kept for five years, a period Basis proposes and has not finalised, then deleted. Stock Token trading is off today, so none is written.
Public chain data about tokens and trades, including the addresses that traded and results computed from them, as the chain itself shows them.
In your browser: your settings, watchlist, wallet list, trade history, orders you arm in this browser, and perpetuals trading keys. Clearing site data removes them from the browser; it does not remove what is on Basis's servers.
Two signed cookies: an invite pass, carrying the wallet admitted and the wallet that invited it, and a terms acknowledgement, carrying the wallet, the terms version and when it was signed, and for Stock Tokens the country the request came from when it was signed. Neither carries an IP address. A separate HttpOnly Genesis session cookie keeps you signed in to the waitlist.
Error reports are sent to Sentry from Basis's server, not from your browser, after long hexadecimal values such as addresses, hashes and signed data, long numbers and amounts are removed. That removes what software produces mechanically. It does not guarantee a report can never identify someone.
Basis's code includes no analytics or advertising tracker, and its content security policy refuses two analytics endpoints wallet libraries try to reach. Wallet software you use, including Privy's, may collect data under its own terms.
Who else receives data
Hosting and storage: Vercel, Fly.io and PlanetScale.
Wallet connection: Reown (WalletConnect), Coinbase Wallet, and Privy if you use a Basis wallet.
Quotes and venues, which receive your wallet address when you ask them for a quote, an order or your account: 0x, Hyperliquid and Lighter.
Token safety data from GoPlus, which receives token addresses, not yours.
Blockchain nodes that answer reads, including Robinhood Chain's own and third-party providers, which see the addresses they are asked about.
Telegram, if you link it.
When Stock Token trading is on, a sanctions-list check sends your wallet address to Arbitrum's public network endpoint, where Chainalysis's public sanctions list is read. Any identity, sanctions-screening or network-check provider Basis adds would receive your wallet address and, for a network check, your IP address; none is configured today.
